BIOGRAPHY
Yuree Kensaku graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University.
A Thai-Japanese artist, she has gained international recognition in the contemporary art scene for her vibrant and thought-provoking works. She works across multiple mediums, including painting, design, street art, animation, music, live performance, and 3D art. Her art is characterized by bright, cartoon-like visuals that often conceal deeper critiques of society, politics, philosophy, and the human condition, addressing themes such as environmental concerns and the darker sides of humanity.
Yuree has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as artist residencies in many countries. Some of her notable residencies and exhibitions include The Mansion of Plates, JWD Art Space, Bangkok, Thailand (2024-2025), Hawai’i Triennial (2022) and PACIFIC CENTURY at the Honolulu Museum of Art, Hawai’i, USA (2022), The 2nd Bangkok Art Biennale: Escape Routes, Thailand (2020–2021), BLEU BLANC ROUGE at Centre Intermondes, La Rochelle, France (2020), The Lady on a White Horse at Tang Contemporary Art, Bangkok, Thailand (2019), The 1st Thailand Biennale Edge of the Wonderland in Krabi, Thailand (2018), ATMOSFEAR, 100 Tonson Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand (2016-2017), Imaginarium: Over the Ocean, Under the Sea at 8Q (Singapore Art Museum) (2016), When the Elephants Fight, the Grass Gets Trampled at Art Basel Hong Kong (2015), The 4th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art A Time for Dreams, curated by David Elliot at the Museum of Moscow, Russia (2014), Kuandu Biennale Memories and Beyond at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei, Taiwan (2010) and The

In 2023, Yuree completed an artist residency at Enrico Navarra Galerie in Le Muy, France, and exhibited her works at Asia NOW’s 9th Edition at Monnaie de Paris (the French Mint), Paris. Her upcoming exhibitions include a solo show at Galerie 75 Faubourg in Paris in 2025,
Yuree’s works are part of the permanent collections of prominent museums, including the Mori Art Museum, the Yokohama Museum of Art, the Singapore Art Museum, the MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum, and the Bank of Singapore Collection.
