Fine art exhibit is all about the connections

La Lanta Fine Art is hosting “Prophilia”, the first solo exhibition in Thailand by renowned Vietnamese contemporary artist Richard Streitmatter-Tran, from Saturday to April 5.

Held in collaboration with Vin Gallery in Vietnam, the exhibition will bring an extended series of portrait paintings inspired by the mediated social world of profile images and their relation to the long tradition of portraiture painting.

Enjoy Life’s Rich Tapestry

La Lanta Fine Art is holding “Spring Culture”, which will delight viewers with vibrant scenes of local Thai traditions, from Saturday to Dec 18.

This is a solo exhibition by award-winning female Thai artist Nilraya Bundasak who grew up in the Northeast and experienced the beauty of the festivity and the bond it creates.

She also travels to different parts of the country to observe divergent celebrations in accordance with local people’s tradition and culture. These traditions and rituals are part of our heritage and they will be passed on to the next generations.

Changing Historical Narratives

Leading Thai sculptor Rattana Salee has a treat for art enthusiasts in her latest solo exhibition “Unreal Monument”.

Her exquisitely compelling sculptures, which will be on display from Saturday until July 14 at the La Lanta Fine Art Gallery, shows how she views public monuments that have sentiment. Her sculptures record her memories, dreams and hopes — all of which could fade with time.
