SURREALRABBITZ

Born in 1990, SURREALRABBITZ is a pop and contemporary artist based in Bangkok who works in painting, drawing, sculpture and hand painting. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University.

The guiding principle of SURREALRABBITZ’s practice- to never use the same composition or material more than once- makes every single one of her works a bona fide original. She weaves in a capaciousness that feeds viewers’ imaginations and encourages them to form interpretations without constraint.

“I’m interested in the process of choosing forms that align with my art direction from a perspective that is uniquely mine- shaped by my daily life and the circumstances of the moment. Then, guided by the concepts and creative idioms of freestyle contemporary art, I connect these forms to a train of thought with freehand drawing and painting.

Each one of my pieces offers something new, whether in composition or use of materials, within my body of work. There is space for exchange between myself, the art and the viewer, who freely exercises their imagination to arrive at their own interpretation of the work”.
