La Lanta Fine Art is holding "Spring Culture", which will delight viewers with vibrant scenes of local Thai traditions, from Saturday to Dec 18.

This is a solo exhibition by award-winning female Thai artist Nilraya Bundasak who grew up in the Northeast and experienced the beauty of the festivity and the bond it creates.

She also travels to different parts of the country to observe divergent celebrations in accordance with local people's tradition and culture. These traditions and rituals are part of our heritage and they will be passed on to the next generations.

Nilraya depicts a snapshot of these convivial moments using the unconventional medium of embroidery. With her talents in needle work, she uses various sizes of thread with a vibrant colour palette to record what she sees onto a piece of fabric.

Symbolically, the threads also represent her connection and bond with the place and the joy she experienced through these festivities.

Inspired by the dynamism of current culture and fashion, most artworks by the 29-year-old artist express joy, fun and brilliance. Her joie de vivre mentality shines through her creations with the use of mixed media including embroidery and sewing on various types of fabric.

La Lanta Fine Art is located at N22 Art Warehouse, Narathiwat Ratchanakharin 22 and opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm.
